Notes
Long-form notes I keep as living documents, published as separate sites.
Judgment at Scale
My main body of notes. It asks how technical judgment changes as scope grows from code to systems, platforms and organisation-wide decisions. It covers distributed systems, cloud and platforms, security and Staff+ engineering. Claims are stated so they can be wrong, each with a confidence level and the evidence behind it. It also holds playbooks, worked cases, incident reviews and research notes.
Modern Systems Architecture on AWS
A companion handbook for engineers and technical leaders. It treats AWS as the implementation lens rather than the subject, and organises the material for learning, deciding, reviewing and applying architecture. It is a structured reference, not original research.
These are personal notes. The views expressed are my own and do not necessarily represent those of my current or past employers.
